“The Neighborhood Table Block Party”
That’s right, for the summer months we will be adding a 4th TNT that we will be taking to the streets. We will be blocking 8th street and using the Kenneth Curly Park for our cookouts. Our vision was to get the community involved in what we are doing, and we are excited to say that the community jumped at the chance to get involved. These dinners will be sponsored by: Sharpsburg Family Worship Center, Sharpsburg Rotary, Metro PCS, First English Lutheran Church of Sharpsburg, and Sharpsburg Council member …
Our church picnic will be held Sunday, June 3rd after worship. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share. Volunteers are needed to set up Saturday, June 2nd at 10am. At least one truck or van is needed to haul tables. Sign up sheets are located at the Welcome Center.
Pastor Scott will be serving as the Methodist House chaplain at the Chautauqua Institution from June 30-July 7. Congregants who may be interested in visiting Chautauqua can help provide cookies for the Methodist House Tea on Tuesday, July 3rd, and receive free gate passes for 11am-5pm ($40 value per person). Gate passes for an additional day can be obtained from Methodist House for $3, if you arrange your own offsite accommodations. Help Erie UM Alliance and All God’s Children Ministries support outreach services to those affected by homelessness and disability by donating new and gently used shoes.
