When we pray, it’s not jus what we say but how we say it. Take a closer look at prayer postures in the Bible at 6 pm each Wednesday night in July at Roots of Faith, 800 Main Street in Sharpsburg. Participants will pray all kinds of prayers together in a supportive and encouraging environment.

The 5th Annual Faith Night at PNC Park will be held on Thu., Aug. 17 following the Pirates-Cardinals game at 7:05 p.m. Stay after the game to hear from Manager Clint Hurdle and many more Pirates Players and Coaches discuss how faith has impacted their lives, both on and off the field. Infield Grandstand tickets are $20 each (including a free hat). To reserve your seats, put a check in the offering plate with “Pirates” on the note line, or bring your check to the church office by Sunday, July 9th. (Early reservations appreciated.)
Then Sings My Soul is an interactive recital/cabaret event. Candice Shaughnessy will be singing a variety of music based on the human spiritual experience and talking about her personal experiences . This is an informal event and there will be a reception after. A portion of the donations from the vent will go to a charity of the host’s choice. July 7th, 2017 @ 7:30 at Faith UMC.
After the outdoor worship service on 8/20, there will be a casual cookout with hotdogs/hamburgers & drinks provided. Please bring a side, salad, or desert to share.
We will worship in the outdoor “Chapel in the Woods” every-other week this summer, weather permitting, from June 25th until Sept. 3rd (8/20 and 9/3).
