Pastor Barry was born in Upstate New York, earned a BA in English from Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, Massachusetts, and MA in English Literature from the State University of New York at New Paltz. Barry appreciates the multi-cultural aspect of the Body of Jesus Christ. He developed a passion for pastoral care while volunteering for 20 years at Hosanna Church, a Korean-American congregation in Highland, NY. Starting July 2nd, we will be serving “Grab-N-Go” meals at Roots of Faith.

Even though we had to make some modifications, we are excited to see our community again! This is a perfect opportunity for you and your family to get involved. Won’t you join us as we kick off our re-opening?

New Men’s Book Study @ Roots of Faith

Beginning Wed, July 1st the Men’s Small Group at Roots of Faith will begin studying The Reason for God: Belief in an Age of Skepticism by Timothy Keller. The group gathers between 8:30am-9:00am and begins at 9am each week. The Men’s Small Group is open to all men from Faith Church, Roots of Faith, and the community. Vacation Bible School

August 10-14, 2020
Monday-Thursday: 5:30pm – 7:30pm
Friday: 5:30pm – 7:45pm (parents invited to closing program at 7:30)

Campers: 3 years* to rising 6th Grade
Volunteers: Youth (rising 7th grade to rising 12th grade) and adults

* toilet independence required, unless parent is volunteering

Suggested donation: $7.00 per camper

Transportation to Faith UMC from Roots of Faith is available. Inquire at Roots of Faith.

Fox Hill Summer Camp Starting 6/21

We are excited to announce that because Allegheny County is moving to the green phase of re-opening, Fox Hill Preschool Summer Camp will be starting on Monday, June 22nd. We will be offering 11 weeks of Regular Camp (M-Th, 9am-1pm, 6/22-9/1) for students ages 3-5 who are potty trained, but we will not be offering Extended Camp or Two’s Camp this summer. We will be following all guidance from public health officials regarding COVID-19 Safety (see procedures document below for your information).
