Faithful Followers will meet Wednesday, February 14, at 10 a.m. in the church narthex. The activity will be to fill Easter treat bags for Back Packs for Hunger. A meeting and brown bag lunch will follow this activity. Faithful Followers, a group of retired ladies, would love to welcome new participants! A special church-wide Ash Wednesday service will be held at Roots of Faith on Wednesday, February 14th at 6:00pm. Contact Amanda in the church office to join a carpool, which will depart Faith UMC at 5:30pm.
The Knit Wits Bible Study will resume on 1/22 at 9:15am. We meet in the choir room off the church office. Our new study is a 12-week “Knowing the Bible” study on 1-2 Timothy and Titus. Come and join us as we read, discuss, and sometimes laugh our way through the Bible! Beginning in January, a new six-week class called “Sacred Rhythms” will be offered at Faith UMC. This class will teach a variety of spiritual practices that can bring about good and lasting change in our life with God. The class will also focus on how to integrate these practices into our everyday lives. After worship at Roots of Faith on Dec 10th, all are invited to walk down the street to sing Christmas carols with our neighbors living in the Sharpsburg Towers senior high rise. Youth from Bakerstown UMC and Vine of Faith will also be participating.
