Children, Youth, and Intergenerational Ministries at Faith UMC
The people of Faith UMC strive to include children and youth in all aspects of church life. As a small congregation, we offer regular age-level faith formation opportunities and intergenerational faith formation and service opportunities. Faith UMC is a place that seeks to welcome all and encourages young people to discover their own beliefs and practice their faith all week long. You belong here.
We take the physical, emotional, and spiritual safety of children, youth, and vulnerable adults seriously. For more information, read our Safe Sanctuaries Policy.
Children’s Ministry
Birth-Grade 5
Sunday Mornings
During Sunday morning worship at the Faith Church, children are welcome in all worship services. Our sanctuary has a prayground for our youngest worshippers to be able to participate in worship as they play. Activity bags are available for in the pews.
Preschoolers and elementary schoolers have the option to join their peers for Sunday School after the children’s message. During Sunday School, kids learn about God’s love for them through Bible stories and an interactive curriculum.

Vacation Bible School
Each summer, an evening or weekend VBS is offered to Faith kids and the community that emphasizes God’s love for all people. Faith VBS is not one where Jesus will die on Thursday or kids will be compelled to respond to an alter call. Children are taught age-appropriate Bible stories to help them learn about the Christian faith and how to live as followers of Jesus today.
Vine of Faith Youth Group
Grade 6- Grade 12
Vine of Faith Youth Group is an open and affirming group of middle school and high school students that meets twice a month at Faith during the school year on Sunday evenings, for special events, and periodically throughout the summer. The group gathers for fun in Christian community, to learn about and grow in their faith, and for service in the church and the world.
