The Great Heinz Caper

For the past two years, the streets of Sharpsburg have been home to a live-action game of Clue. From an infamous art heist to a shocking murder. Now, a ghost has returned… and it wants justice.

This year, “The Great Heinz Caper: Ghosts on the Riverfront” takes the mystery to a whole new dimension — literally. Rumors swirl that the stolen Heinz painting and last year’s murder were part of a deeper secret buried along the Allegheny River — a secret powerful enough to disturb a restless spirit.

Join us for a thrilling mix of interactive theater, puzzles, geocaching, and local lore as you explore over a dozen Sharpsburg businesses and locations to uncover clues, decode ghostly messages, and solve the supernatural mystery haunting our town.

Whether you’re a seasoned sleuth or a first-time ghostbuster, this event is packed with local flavor, eerie fun, and mystery around every corner. Can you uncover the truth before the spirit world breaks loose?

All ages welcome. Costumes encouraged. Ghosts guaranteed!

Ghost Hunters will start the adventure in 15 minute increments. Walk-ins will be available all day. 

• Choose a time you would like to start. You will have three hours from your start time to complete the adventure in order to be eligible for the prize. There is no time limit for noncompetitive participation.
• Walk-ins will be accepted all day, time and space allowing.
• Grand Prize for solving the mystery in the least amount of time will win $500. Eligibility is for Paid Tickets only. Free ticket winners will get a shout-out on social media. Prize winners do not have to be present at the final announcement, but why would you want to miss the excitement?
• The Ghostbusters Club will be there- you’re welcome to wear a costume to join in the fun!
