This month, it was announced that Rev. Dr. Susan Moudry has been appointed to serve as Lead Pastor at Chippewa UMC. Susan joined Faith UMC as Lead Pastor in 2024. She and her family have been a blessing to Faith UMC and, while we will miss sharing Sundays with them, we are confident that she will continue to be a blessing at Chippewa UMC. Her Farewell Service will be on Sunday, May 31st at 10:30, with a potluck fellowship to follow. Please join us in celebrating Susan and her family!
We’re also happy to announce that Rev. Jim Sands has been appointed to serve here at Faith UMC as Pastor, in a new charge alongside Oakmont UMC. Pastor Jim comes to us most recently from the Aliquippa First and Monaca UMC charge. He is a passionate preacher, teacher, and mentor, and brings a Wesleyan, forward-looking theology to his work. Pastor Jim’s first service with Faith UMC will be on Sunday, July 5th at our new worship time of 10:30am. Please join us in welcoming him and his family!

Come for a simple Lenten meal of soup and bread during a special Faith Family Night. During worship, the choir will share music and Pastor Susan will impose ashes.
Sundays, September 14th & September 28th, 5:00-6:30 PM Fellowship Hall
Young, old and everyone in between will gather to break bread, study God’s word, play and pray together. During this intentional faith formation gathering, everyone is welcome and we will focus on connecting individuals from different households together so expect to get to know others and learn from one another! For the potluck on September 14th, please bring a dish/es to share based on your last name: A-H Main Dish, I-R Side Dish, S-Z Dessert. This will be the first of what will hopefully become a regular gathering time!
Friday Evening 8/1 5:15-5:30 PM Check-in, 5:30-7:15 PM – All Ages Light Dinner Provided Young children should attend with their grown-up; a portion of the evening will be divided by age groups. Adults and youth are welcome to attend as families or individuals.
Saturday 8/2 ROAD TRIP Service Project: Mission Barn in New Castle, PA roughly an hour from Faith. Open to rising 1st graders and older. This year we’re not only going to enjoy the beautiful, kid-friendly campus of Faith UMC, we will also be road tripping for a special service project to the Mission Barn. Spots are limited for the service project road trip-contact Jme regarding late sign-ups for this day. 9:15-9:30 AM Meet at Cascade Park in New Castle for Morning Pit Stop starting promptly at 9:30 10 AM – 2 PM Serve at the Mission Barn 2 PM Depart for homes or other road trip destinations of your choosing! BYO sack lunch and water bottle (labeled with name for each person).
Sunday 8/3 All Ages – Wear clothes from someplace you’ve visited OR that you like to travel in! 9 AM Morning Pit Stop (includes outdoor worship set-up and practice) 10 AM Outdoor Road Trip Worship 11 AM Road Trip with Lunch (main dish, drinks, tableware provided; bring a potluck side/dessert to share) Water Play & Other Roadside Attractions. Bring a towel, sunscreen and swimsuit/change of clothes if you plan to get wet.
