Founded in 2014 as a door-to-door outreach ministry and secondary church location of Faith UMC in Sharpsburg, Roots of Faith officially became an independent, incorporated nonprofit in 2025.
Roots of Faith bridges divides across race, economic status, and social background by fostering meaningful relationships, offering essential resources and support, and creating opportunities for lasting growth and transformation.
Faith UMC continues to lift up Roots of Faith Inc. and its leadership and community development with ongoing programming, volunteers, and financial support.
As a Faith Partner and the Founding Member of ROF Inc., Faith UMC is committed to:
• Service: providing opportunities for engagement that continue to bridge our wider community.
• Spiritual Practices: offering worship and other programs, in cooperation with current Faith Partners, that enhance communal life.
• Leadership: supplying financial support, as well as a member for the Board of Directors.
