Young, old and everyone in between will gather to break bread, study God’s word, play and pray together. During this intentional faith formation gathering, everyone is welcome and we will focus on connecting individuals from different households together so expect to get to know others and learn from one another! For the potluck on September 14th, please bring a dish/es to share based on your last name: A-H Main Dish, I-R Side Dish, S-Z Dessert. This will be the first of what will hopefully become a regular gathering time!
Friday Evening 8/1 5:15-5:30 PM Check-in, 5:30-7:15 PM – All Ages Light Dinner Provided Young children should attend with their grown-up; a portion of the evening will be divided by age groups. Adults and youth are welcome to attend as families or individuals.
Saturday 8/2 ROAD TRIP Service Project: Mission Barn in New Castle, PA roughly an hour from Faith. Open to rising 1st graders and older. This year we’re not only going to enjoy the beautiful, kid-friendly campus of Faith UMC, we will also be road tripping for a special service project to the Mission Barn. Spots are limited for the service project road trip-contact Jme regarding late sign-ups for this day. 9:15-9:30 AM Meet at Cascade Park in New Castle for Morning Pit Stop starting promptly at 9:30 10 AM – 2 PM Serve at the Mission Barn 2 PM Depart for homes or other road trip destinations of your choosing! BYO sack lunch and water bottle (labeled with name for each person).
Sunday 8/3 All Ages – Wear clothes from someplace you’ve visited OR that you like to travel in! 9 AM Morning Pit Stop (includes outdoor worship set-up and practice) 10 AM Outdoor Road Trip Worship 11 AM Road Trip with Lunch (main dish, drinks, tableware provided; bring a potluck side/dessert to share) Water Play & Other Roadside Attractions. Bring a towel, sunscreen and swimsuit/change of clothes if you plan to get wet.

Reverend Angelique Edmonds has been appointed as Senior Pastor to Trafford: Trinity UMC and Manor: First UMC in the Greensburg District, beginning July 1st. Her final worship with Faith UMC with be a churchwide service outdoors at Faith Church, Sunday June 8th at 10am. A fellowship potluck meal will follow.
Pastor Angelique has served at Faith UMC at Roots of Faith since 2021. She launched prayer initiatives and several notable programs, including the Songs of Social Justice annual concert, Women in Faith community brunches, and the Worship & the Word Bible studies, and has been a bright, engaging leader in our community. We wish her all the best in her new appointment!

At 8am there will be pancakes, followed by work until noon. At noon, we will have a potluck lunch and then more work until 4pm. People may come and go as they are able, and we appreciate it if they can bring a dish to share at lunch. Some will be working on cutting trees, and dumping the shed remnants. Some will be gardening. We encourage folks to bring their own tools/supplies if they have them.
Everyone is invited to be on the go with God this summer! We’ll have special all-ages events all summer starting with a very special, flat person arrving in early June.
We’ll conclude our Road Trip with Friday 8/1-Sunday 8/3. Please RSVP online by June 15th with your households plans to attend some, all, or none of the all-ages Vacation Bible School fun.
