Churchwide Worship at Roots of Faith

Join us in worship on Human Relations Sunday. Stephanie Backus will be bringing a message from Luke 14: 7-14 focused on a Seat at God’s Table. Stephanie currently volunteers with our NextGeneration ministries and is a candidate for ministry in the Presbyterian Church (USA). Her passion is engaging faith communities in meaningful conversation and transformative action.
Please note there will be no service at Faith Church in Fox Chapel.
Roots of Faith Announces First Executive Director
Kathleen Stanley has been named the first Executive Director of Roots of Faith! Kathleen brings a wealth of experience, as well as deep, established relationships to her new role. Knowing the community will benefit from her leadership, Faith UMC’s Leadership Board is thrilled to celebrate this milestone and Kathleen’s work among us. Please join us in congratulating her!
Roots of Faith began ten years ago as a ministry of Faith UMC. Through a process of discernment and prayer, and lots of hard work by our staff and volunteers, Roots of Faith is now on track to become its own non-profit corporation within the next few months. As we continue to move through that transition, Faith UMC remains committed to participating alongside Roots of Faith in the life-giving ministry happening. We also look forward to this new day and the blossoming of a dream. God is good!
Memorial for Dr. Joe Marasco
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Dr. Joseph Marasco Jr, peacefully with his family on July 15th, 2024 at Amelia Island, FL. Joe Marasco was a long-time member and leader of Faith United Methodist Church, and he and his family have remained a faithful part of the community throughout the years. You can read his full obituary here.
His memorial service will be held at Faith United Methodist Church on Saturday, July 27th at 11:00am, following a private burial.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the following organizations: Pittsburgh Opera, Amelia Island Chamber Music Festival, Faith United Methodist Church, and Amelia Plantation Chapel.
