It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Dr. Joseph Marasco Jr, peacefully with his family on July 15th, 2024 at Amelia Island, FL. Joe Marasco was a long-time member and leader of Faith United Methodist Church, and he and his family have remained a faithful part of the community throughout the years. His memorial service will be held at Faith United Methodist Church on Saturday, July 27th at 11:00am, following a private burial.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the following organizations: Pittsburgh Opera, Amelia Island Chamber Music Festival, Faith United Methodist Church, and Amelia Plantation Chapel.
At VBS, Faith kids set an ambitious goal to raise money for Jumonville Camp and to collect donations for Second Harvest’s Community Fridge. During Camp Firelight Vacation Bible School, children discussed how they can lead the way in sharing God’s love with others. As they brainstormed ideas about how to make a difference in their homes, neighborhoods and beyond they created a construction paper campfire to illustrate how their actions could brighten the spaces around them. Can you join with us in sharing with our neighbors? Bring a non-perishable donation for the Community Fridge at Second Harvest or make a monetary donation for Jumonville Camp. The Community Fridge distributes food, cleaning products, and personal hygiene items. If you or your loved ones would appreciate having an item in your pantry, it would make a great donation for the Community Fridge.
Donations can be dropped off in the entryway at Faith UMC or give online at faithfoxchapel.org/give and note “VBS Offering”.
We will celebrate the VBS Mission Offering together on August 18th.
Pastor Susan’s appointment to Faith United Methodist Church begins July 1. Help us welcome Pastor Susan to her first worship services Sunday July 7th at 10 AM at Faith and 12 PM at Roots of Faith.
July – September outdoor worship services are a great way to connect with God and Christian community amidst the sounds, smells and sights of creation.
Faith is blessed to have multiple spaces for out door worship and connecting with the divine in nature. Mark your calendars and join us outside, behind the building, for worship this summer!
